I am very happy with the quality of the otterbox defender case. amazon shipped it fast. But they used a huge box to put this little case in that I had to pay a lot extra in volumetric weight for an overseas freight leg of my shipment ( I consolidate my purchases at borderlinx globeshopper. Otterbox themselves shipped Two cases in a much smaller box.
Holding the inside part of the Defender screen about two inches above the baby powder bottle, very gently press the baby powder bottle once to the left side of the screen protector and once to the right side of the screen protector. The screen protector from the case did stick to the screen of my ipod though which created large air bubbles or as some others call it, the "oil slick." A video tip I found on the internet showed how to fix the air bubble problem. This is a great case and it does a very good job of protecting the ipod. If you can see the powder on the screen, you have done it too hard and you will need to wipe it off and do it again until you do not see the powder. Take a baby powder bottle and shake it up to create a slight invisible cloud of baby powder inside the bottle. Tap the top of the baby powder bottle to get the powder out of the little holes at the top. It will most likely take several tries to get it right, but you will eventually get the protector not to stick while at the same time not being able to see any of the powder on the screen. Hope this helps.
It's just okay. I'm not saying that this is a bad case it just didn't suit my needs very well. If you like pressing down on your screen rather than lightly tapping you will be delighted.
This case does do that very well, however the cons are just too irritating to ignore. Also, I don't think anyone mentioned this but I find the home button very difficult to press. I got this case because I'm very clumsy and wanted something that would protect my iPod.
I however don't enjoy having had to click as many as five times for it to register. Everything other reviews have mentioned are true. The screen protector is terrible.
And the comment about chargers other than apple ones not fitting is also completely true. I like my griffin iclear better so I think I'll go back to that.
and thought it would be a good time to review it. This broke off my case shortly after purchase. This case will do an excellent job of protecting your iPod touch. While providing excellent protection the size of the part of the case that frames the screen makes the screen a bit recessed- this makes it difficult for those of us with small chubby fingers to type and press some buttons closest to the corners of the iPod. I didn't want/need a clip but for those who do you may wish to check if they make an Otter Box with a clip or try another brand. As another review suggested, rip out the plastic screen. Finally, there's a little plug that covers the headphone jack.
The case does indeed allow dust in so you may wish to take the iPod out for an occassional dusting. I've used this case for quite awhile (maybe a year). It's really a non-issue but I thought I'd mention it. It makes it harder to "touch" the screen and over a period of time gets quite scratched up itself. This is not a problem for me with the case off. Finally, there is no clip of any kind with this particular model. All in all, I don't think you could find more excellent protection for the iPod touch than this case.
This case has saved my iPod for experiencing the impact from big falls. It s well worth the money.
